The gantry crane (also called gantry crane) is a bridge-type crane in which the bridge frame is supported on the ground track through the legs on both sides. It is composed of gantry, truck operating mechanism, lifting trolley and electrical parts. Some gantry cranes have only one leg on one side, and the other side is supported on the plant or trestle and is called a semi-gantry crane. The gantry crane's gantry upper bridge (including main beam and end beam), legs, lower crossbeam and other parts are composed. In order to expand the operating range of the crane, the main beam can extend out of the outrigger to one or both sides to form a cantilever. It is also possible to use a lifting trolley with an arm frame to expand the crane's operating range through the pitch and rotation of the arm frame.
