1. The principle of downhole screw pump

The stator and rotor are connected to the ends of the oil pipe and the sucker rod. The surface driving equipment drives the rotor to rotate through the sucker rod, and lifts the downhole liquid to the surface.

2. Technical characteristics of downhole screw pump

• Less one-time investment

Compared with electric submersible pumps, hydraulic piston pumps and beam pumping units, the downhole screw pump has a simple structure and the lowest one-time investment.

• High pump efficiency, energy saving, low maintenance cost

The load is stable during operation, the mechanical loss is small, the pump efficiency can reach 55% to 65%, and the highest can reach 75%, while the plunger pumping unit and centrifugal electric submersible pump are only 30% to 40%.

• Simple equipment structure

Small size, low transportation cost; simple ground installation, small footprint, easy installation and maintenance.

• Suitable for heavy oil mining

Generally speaking, the downhole screw pump is suitable for crude oil production with viscosity below 8000mPa.s, so most heavy oil wells can be applied

• Adapt to high sand wells.

Due to the good tolerance of the stator rubber, it can be used in oil wells with high sand content.

• Adapt to high gas wells

The downhole screw pump does not cause air lock, so it is more suitable for oil and gas mixed transmission, but the free gas at the entrance of the downhole pump will affect the volumetric efficiency.

• Suitable for offshore oilfield cluster well groups and horizontal wells

Downhole screw pump can be installed in the inclined straight section, and the equipment structure is simple, the area is small, the transportation and maintenance cost is low, so it is suitable for offshore oil production.
