This fluid density tool provides a reliable and relatively safe method to measure the fluid density in the well, slightly influenced by the well deviation and flow rate when measuring. Americium - 241 with low activity is adopted as the radioactive source with a irradiation loop of merely 1 meter arround the instrument. Radiation shielding is allocated for the radioactive parts of the instrument in order to avoid the impact of radiation deposit in measuring. The quality of statistical data is guaranteed by the high count rate. When no logging operation is conducted, there is no need to disassembly the radioactive source and shield cylinder with radioactive source may be locked on the instrument. Suitable for: fluid identification,high flow rate well logging,horizontal well logging or high slope well logging.
