VR plug is a specialized device for repairing valves on a cross. If a valve requires repairs, the running and retrieving tool for VR plug shall be mounted inside the box of the cross body using a special tool so that the fluid in the annulus can be prevented from leaking. Then the valve waiting to be repaired can be dismantled. When the valve has been repaired, the valve shall be reset, and the running and retrieving tool for VR plug can be retrieved using a special tool.
