The radar level meter antenna emits extremely narrow microwave pulse, and such pulse could be transmitted in space at light speed, when it contacts the surface of the medium being tested, part of energy will be reflected, and received by the same antenna. The time interval between emitting pulse and receiving pulse is proportional to the distance from the antenna to the surface of the tested medium. For the extremely high transmission speed of electromagnetic waves, the time interval between emitting pulse and receiving pulse is very small (nanosecond level), so it is hard to ascertain. The GDRD5X series radar level meter adopts a special related demodulation technology, and could identify the time interval between remitting pulse and receiving pulse accurately, so as to further calculate the distance from the antenna to the surface of the tested medium. Characteristics The radar level meter adopts an emitting frequency up to 26GHz, so it possesses: 1. Small beam angle, concentrated energy, and strong anti-interference ability, which has greatly improved accuracy and reliability of measurement; 2. Small size of the antenna is also convenient for installation and addition of antenna protective devices such as dust cover etc.; 3. Smaller measurement blind area, achieves better measurement effect for small tanks.
